Q:  When Im at the configure menu I click detect for the Netscape Bookmarks and recive the error, "Bookmark file not found. Check configure menu".
A:  The file that Netscape Bookmarks are kept in is called bookmark.htm. This is the file Linksync is trying to detect. The location of Netscape's bookmark.htm file varies depending on the version of Netscape, and if you are using profiles other than the default. Because of this, LinkSync cannot always locate the Bookmarks automatically. To manually configure LinkSync: 1. Right click on the LinkSink icon located near the clock on the Windows taskbar. A popup screen will appear. 2. On the popup screen find "Configure" and left click on it. This will open LinkSync's configuration screen. By using the browse button on the configuration screen you can navigate to the directory where the Netscape's Bookmarks are located on your computer. A common location is c:\Program Files\Netscape\Users\default\bookmark.htm If you're unable to find the location of your bookmark.htm file please follow these steps: 1. Click on the Start button on your Windows Taskbar. 2. Click on Find. 3. Click on Files or Folders. This will open the "Find: Files" dialog box. 4. In the Find: All Files dialog box type in "bookmark.htm" in the Named: field. 5. Click the "Find Now" button. This will start the search for bookmark.htm. 6. The results will appear directly below your search requirements. There may be several files found with that name. If this is the case, double click on any of the files to load them into your browser window to determine which one is the correct file. Once you have located the correct file, "bookmark.htm", make a note on what directory the file is found. The directory will be found on the Find: Filesunder the "In Folder" column. Now go back to the LinkSync configuration window and enter the directory to the left of the browse button.
